Danish Botanical Boho | Copenhagen, Denmark
When Ophelia first got in touch with Luke and I, we were ecstatic. I’m pretty sure I screamed and ran up and down the house at the prospect of getting to shoot a wedding in Denmark.
We were able to make a trip out of it, and tour Stockholm Sweden along the way, which was STUNNING. Luke and I were so excited to be able to shoot a European wedding, full of their culture, and to learn about Denmark along the way.
Gino, the groom-to-be, met us the morning before the wedding as we were wandering aimlessly throughout the Copenhagen Central Station. Having no way to get in touch with him, we were both shocked when he walked up behind us and asked if we were Luke and Savannah. I’ll still never forget him saying: “Good think you both match your profile pictures!”
The next day flew by, as we photographed Ophelia getting ready in her apartment, and then headed towards the Botanical Gardens in Copenhagen, for their first look. The rest was history. We got home about 4:30 the next morning with the words of a guest still ringing in our ear: “In Denmark, nobody leaves weddings before 3 a.m..”
These two individuals welcomed us into their home with Champagne, sushi, and open arms. We couldn’t have asked for a better couple to photograph, and it was truly an honor getting to capture the love between our 2 favorite people.
